The fitness world has spent years telling women they have to pick a side. Lift weights or do yoga. Build strength or build flexibility. Choose.
At WeRise, we disagree.
The best results happen when you train both, and most women who are stuck have already figured this out the hard way.
What Happens When You Only Do One
If you only strength train without mobility work, you end up with a restricted range of motion that caps your progress and increases risk of injury.
If you only do yoga without any load, you build awareness and flexibility but miss out on the muscle, definition, and strength your body is capable of.
What Each One Actually Does
Strength training:
- Builds muscle through progressive challenge
- Creates visible strength and definition
- Develops power and force output
- Gives your muscles the stimulus they need to grow
Yoga:
- Develops mobility, flexibility and range of motion
- Builds body awareness and control
- Improves alignment and how you move
- Supports recovery between training days
How They Work Together
Together, strength and yoga create a more complete way to train. One builds you up. The other keeps you moving well. That combination is what changes how your body looks, feels, and performs over time.
You build visible strength and definition from head to toe. You feel stronger, steadier, and more capable in every movement. And you improve mobility and flexibility in a way that gives you real freedom in your body.
How to Structure Your Week
Here is a simple framework:
- 3 strength sessions
- 3 yoga sessions
- 1 active recovery day
- 30g of protein per meal
We have the plan built for you. All you have to do is show up.
The WeRise Strength and Yoga Challenge is a 6-week hybrid program combining progressive strength training designed by Senada Greca and yoga sessions with Dea Di Carlo. It was built specifically to help you train smarter, move better, and build a body that is strong and made to last.
